Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men
with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a
proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

~ Calvin Coolidge, 30th US President (1872-1933)

Hank Koopman, (a.k.a. Al Fabbet), is a retired dam safety engineer from the Colorado Division of Wildlife.

While raising three kids he marveled at their ingenuity in spelling words. Alpha Cubes were the result of inventing a game to aid children in learning to spell.

In addition to creating games, Hank researches the American Civil War concentrating on the 58th Illinois Infantry Volunteer Regiment with which his great-great-grandfather fought. He is working on articles and books for publication related to the Civil War.
